Carta was arrested on Tuesday at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. He was wanted internationally at the request of US authorities for fraud with so-called binary options.
According to the source of "Izvestia," the 45-year-old Israeli was detained by officers of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, together with the officers of the police department in Pulkovo.
The detained man is a native of Canada and a popular blogger. He has over 700,000 subscribers on social media. The man regularly posted photos of his interactions with movie stars and models, as well as his travels on a private plane.
