Hongqi, the Chinese company, is planning to introduce its new models in the Russian market, aiming to compete with luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz. The company will be selling a range of vehicles, including a sedan, crossovers, and a minivan. Ivan Saveliev, the executive director of Hongqi Rus, stated that they will be offering all the models that are available in the Chinese market. The launch of the compact crossover HS3 is scheduled for the end of June, followed by the debut of the large sedan L1 next year. The L1 sedan, in its base version, will have a similar length to the long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It will be available in both regular and extended versions.
Hongqi also plans to introduce the minivan HQ9 to the Russian market. The HQ9 will be available in a hybrid version, as will the large crossover HS7. Saveliev also mentioned that they are planning to adapt the HS7 model for the Russian market, and the H5 and H9 sedans might receive modifications with all-wheel drive. The company is aiming to offer a variety of options to cater to different customer preferences.
These new models from Hongqi will provide Russian consumers with more choices in the luxury vehicle segment. By entering the Russian market, Hongqi aims to compete with established luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz and offer consumers an alternative option in the high-end car market.
The Chinese company has been expanding its presence in international markets, and the launch of these new models in Russia is part of its global expansion strategy. With its reputation for producing high-quality vehicles, Hongqi hopes to attract luxury car buyers in Russia and establish its brand presence in the market.
